Reading a buyer's order line by line

Board Notes ·

The buyer's order is the transaction; everything said aloud is atmosphere. Go line by line: vehicle price, doc fee (capped in some states, theater in others), title and registration pass-throughs, then the add-on block — VIN etching, nitrogen, protection packages. Every add-on line is declinable before signing. If a line cannot be explained in one sentence, it comes off or you walk. This applies at every auto dealer, from the corner lot to the largest groups in the country.
